%0 Journal Article %T D£¿sease Prevalence Of Inpat£¿ents In Pall£¿at£¿ve-Care %A £¿zg¨¹r ENG£¿NYURT %J - %D 2019 %X Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the demographic and clinical characteristicsof children who were admitted to the Pediatric Emergency Department of the PediatricIntensive Care Unit and Pediatric Hospital with the diagnosis of drug intoxication between 2015-2018.A total of 186 acute intoxication cases, aged 0-18 years, who were admitted to pediatric emergency clinic due to intoxication and suicid were evaluated retrospectively. The mean age of the patients was 7.41 ya£¿ years. Among thedrug intoxications the most commonly used drugs were analgesic drugs with a rate of 26.9%, followed by psychiatricand neurological drugs with 19.4% and 59.1% of the pati-ents followed-up with drug intoxication were female. In this study, suicid intention rate was found as 34.4%.In our study, 27.4% of the patients presenting with drug intoxication were in toxic doses. 63.4% of our patients were discharged after one day of observation and treatment peri-od. The main cause of poisoning is the child's accidental drugintake due to family carelessness. Suicid poisonings are less. In addition to the precautions to be taken by the families, Drug manufacturers and physicians, the determination of the epidemiological characteristics of poisonings in our country will contribute significantly to the prevention of childhood poisoning and to decrease the mortality and morbidity %K palyatif servis %K dek¨¹bit ¨¹lseri %K hastal£¿k prevelans£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ktah/issue/47242/593827
