%0 Journal Article %T INVESTIGATING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRESERVICE BIOLOGY TEACHERS¡¯ PERCEPTION LEVEL OF TEACHER SELF-EFFICACY AND THEIR OCCUPATIONAL ANXIETY %A Ahmet G£¿KMEN %A G¨¹lay EK£¿C£¿ %J - %D 2018 %X This study investigated the relationship between preservice biology teachers¡¯ perception level of teacher self-efficacy and their professional anxiety. The study was designed as a survey study within the scope of quantitative research in order to reveal the existing situation. 82 preservice biology teachers from a public university were the participants of the study. The Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001) and adapted to Turkish by £¿apa, £¿ak£¿ro£¿lu and Sar£¿kaya (2005) and the Occupational Anxiety Scale for Preservice Teachers developed by Cab£¿ and Yal£¿£¿nalp (2013) were used to collect data. The study data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the correlation coefficient in order to determine relationship between the teacher self-efficacy and occupational anxiety. The results indicated that the preservice teachers had quite adequate level teacher self-efficacy levels and a low-level occupational anxiety.
