%0 Journal Article %T EVALUATION OF STUDIES IN TURKEY ON THE PREVENTION OF PRESSURE SORES IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT: %A Fadime £¿£¿nar %J - %D 2018 %X Increasingly important in recent years , pressure sores began to appear as the quality of service indicators of inpatient treatment facilities that affecting people's quality of life can be preventable problem causing an increase in the cost of health care. Therefore, it is important to identify and prevent the risk factors that may cause pressure injury.Although there are many studies the incidence of pressure sores and for prevention abroad but in our country seems to be limited research on about the subject.This study was conducted to review studies published in Turkey between 2005 and 2015 regarding identification and prevention of pressure sores risk factors, and to assess data obtained from these studies systematically. As a result of this systematic review; £¿n the study are sample size 46 ¨C among 948 and two of the study are prospective, one of study is retrospective, other of four are descriptive. it was found that the risk of pressure sores of the assessment of most braden from the risk assessment scale is used in the intensive care unit, there was no evidence-based study on which scale has the most effectiveness, and it was also found that different scales were used in some of the studies instead of pressure scales. In addition, it was found that age, albumin levels, and duration of hospital stay are the mostimportant factors in the formation of pressure sores.
