%0 Journal Article %T ¨¦ abi-ka imaqqut ¡°Your Father¡¯s House Will Collapse¡± %J - %D 2018 %X The Archeological excavations conducted at ancient Kanesh City provide us with significant information about the houses of the Assyrian traders. The residential houses uncovered at the K¨¡rum place of K¨¹ltepe have the most ancient written documents of Anatolia which represents the best samples of civil architecture of this region, dated back to 4000 years ago. These structures belonged to Anatolians and Assyrian traders and were used not just as residential buildings but as offices and storages too. There is no information about the plans of houses and number of rooms in the Old Assyrian documents. The archives belong to Pilah-I£¿tar the son of A£¿£¿ur-r¨¥¡¯¨©, uncovered during excavations in 1988 which includes three documents mentioning unique situation about houses. Two of the documents are related to a house which was about to collapse because of negligence and squalidness.
