%0 Journal Article %T Scale of School Managers¡¯ Roles: A Scale Development Study %A T¨¹rkay Nuri TOK %J - %D 2019 %X The management process includes a multi-faceted and complex network of relationships. The manager is obliged to establish these relationships and play more than one role as a necessity of the activities he is responsible for. The aim of this study is to develop a scale to determine teachers' perceptions of school managers¡¯ roles. The scale was developed based on the ¡°Manager Roles¡± of Mintzberg (1973). According to the classification by Mintzberg the manager roles are divided up into three categories; interpersonal roles, informational roles and decision making roles. A total of 219 teachers,who worked in Pamukkale and Mekezefendi provinces of Denizli, participated in the research voluntarily. In accordance with 10 educational sciences experts¡¯ opinions and suggestions, the items were examined and rearranged with a field expert and a 32-item scale form was created. Exploratory Factor Analysis reached a structure consisting of three dimensions, interpersonal roles, informational roles and decision making roles, and a total of 22 items. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) model compliance values were determined to meet the specified criteria.
