%0 Journal Article %T SOME SUFI MUDARRIS AND SCHOLARS WHO LIVED IN SELJUK ANATOLIA DURING 13TH CENTURY ACCORDING TO THE MANAQIBNAMAS %A Rauf Kahraman ¨¹RKMEZ %J - %D 2018 %X A great number of rumors about relations between sufi groups and scholars (ulamas) are embodied in the manaqibnamas, which shed light on the 13th century Seljuk Anatolia. Some manaqibnamas that mention sufi groups, which were active especially in important cultural centers of the period such as Konya, Sivas, Kayseri, also comprised interesting information about city and region nisbahs, sects, working areas and science journeys of many scholars who lived in this period. In the light of this information, it is possible to get a perspective about the prominent science centers of the Islamic world and communication among them, ulama movement and scientific density of Anatolian cities in the 13th century. In this era, the fact that many scholars who raised or lived in Anatolia, were subjected to the period¡¯s manaqibnamas with the abovementioned aspects indicate how dense the relations between sufi groups and ulamas were. In this article, we aim to mention some scholars who were in close relation with sufis and interested in sufism along with the ones who studied in the fields such as medicine, astronomy, logic etc. That way, we pursue to reveal both the prevalence of sufism among scientific circles and the resource value of the manaqibnamas in this subject in Seljuk Anatolia in the 13th centur %K £¿lim %K Medrese %K Menak£¿bname %K Mutasavv£¿f M¨¹derris %K T¨¹rkiye Sel£¿uklular£¿ %K XIII.
