%0 Journal Article %T The Search For A Contemporary Language On Stage In the Context of Gezi Plays %A Yunus Emre G¨¹M¨¹£¿ %J - %D 2018 %X The `Gezi Park` movements, classified as an urban social movement, emerged as a debate on the right to the city and turned into a broad-based social contract, in which social and political demands were incorporated. The `Gezi Park` movements which became a phenomenon in a short period of time created unprecedented tremors in many areas, from public opposition to social life, and from politics to art. The artistic productions transformed into a means of resistance since the beginning of the movements not only gained the `Gezi Park` movements a unique identity, but also played a part in conveying the concept of `Gezi Park` movements into the future as historical documents. In this study, we discussed how the `Gezi Park` movements are reflected in the theatrical plays by examining the plays written out in the process.
