%0 Journal Article %T Determination of Corporate Structure and Manager Profile in Agricultural Development, Irrigation and Fisheries Cooperatives: £¿anakkale Province Case %A Beng¨¹ EVEREST %J - %D 2019 %X There are several strategies on cooperatives these has a special importance in Turkey as in all developed countries. These strategies are based on the transformation of cooperatives into a third sector. The strategies of the relevant ministries responsible for cooperatives and the strategies of international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), the International Cooperatives Association (ICA), the Organization for Economic Co-operation, and the Organization for Cooperation (OECD) will vary according to the institutional structures and governance profiles of the existing cooperatives. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the institutional structures and management profiles of agricultural cooperatives, irrigation and fisheries cooperatives. According to the results of the study, 4.60% of the cooperative managers are university graduates and the average of cooperative office workers is 0.17. There is no cooperative service building in 50% of fisheries cooperatives. The institutional structures and management profiles of cooperatives are effective in the development of cooperatives awareness. For example, in the willingness of the cooperative managers to receive training on the cooperative, being members of agricultural publications, using the internet, land assets, the presence of the cooperative and the type of the cooperative are effective.
