%0 Journal Article %T Effects of Managers¡¯ Dark Personality Traits on Employees¡¯ Burnout Level %A Emrah £¿zsoy %J - %D 2019 %X Examining the dark side of personality in an organizational context has been increasing in the international literature in recent years. However, the organizational impacts of the dark personality traits of the employees who are in the managerial position in our country are not taken into consideration. In this study, the effects of perceived dark personality traits (narcissism, Machiavellism, and psychopathy) of employees from their managers on burnout levels of employees were examined. In this context, a total of 243 employees from various branches of a private bank operating in Istanbul participated in the study. Each of the dark personality traits of managers perceived by their employees was positively related to employees¡¯ burnout. In the multiple regression analysis, only perceived psychopathy from the managers positively affected burnout.
