%0 Journal Article %T Development Of Soc£¿al Stud£¿es Teachers¡¯ Self-Conf£¿dence For Teach£¿ng Scale %A Ahmet Uysal %A Mehmet G¨¹rol %J - %D 2018 %X In this research, it was aimed to develop "Self-confidence towards Teaching" Scale that can be used in determining the self-confidence of social studies teachers. First of all, the related literature was examined and scale items were prepared. The scale was organized as 5-point Likert type. A total of 12 items were written at first, but the number was reduced to 9 items in line with the opinions of the experts. After examining the face validity of the scale, the language and understandability of each item was examined using face-to-face interviews with five teachers. The scale was given to 269 teachers to determine the reliability and the construct validity of the scale. The maximum likelihood method and the exploratory factor analysis were used to determine the construct validity of the scale. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the scale has only one factor structure and that all items works.
