%0 Journal Article %T TRIGGER EFFECT BETWEEN TERRORISM AND HATE CRIMES %J - %D 2018 %X Although there are a lot of separate studies on terrorism and hate crimes in the literature, it can be seen that there are very few studies in which both subjects are discussed at the same time and their relationship, differences and similarities are revealed. In this context, it is important to consider whether the forms of behavior are parts of the same totality, or whether the researches about terrorism are valid in terms of hate crimes and the researches about hate crimes are valid in terms of terrorism. In this study, general explanations will be made about the concepts of hate crimes and terrorism, which can itself constitute a monographic research theme, provided that not exceeding the scope of the study. Afterwards, the effects of these behaviors on each other, in other words, whether terrorism triggers hate crimes or hate crimes trigger terrorism, will be discussed.
