%0 Journal Article %T THE OPINIONS of TURKISH TEACHER CANDIDATES REGARDING to THE NOTION of TEXT andTEACHING TURKISH byTEXT %A Zeynep Cin £¿eker %A £¿zzet £¿eref %J - %D 2018 %X The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of Turkish teacher candidates regarding to the notion of text and teaching Turkish by text. In the study, the phenomenological pattern that one of the qualitative research patterns was used. The study group of the research is a total of 76 Turkish teacher candidates who have been studying at the Department of Turkish Language Education in Atat¨¹rk University Kaz£¿mKarabekir Education Faculty, were selected by appropriate sampling technique. The data of the study were collected from the students with open-ended questions. In the analysis of data, content analysis method was used and the obtained data were tabulated with frequency values. As a result, it has been understood that the opinions of Turkish teacher candidates about the text concept and the teaching of Turkish by text are limited and the competences of the teacher candidates should be questioned again in this frame.
