%0 Journal Article %T THE EFFECT OF NEPOTISM ON ORGANIZATIONAL SILENCE AND THE INTENTION TO LEAVE %A Hakan Sipahi %J - %D 2018 %X Objective of the study: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of nepotry perception on organizational silence and the intention to leave work in organizations caused by nepotry practices. Design and Methodolgy: The questionnaires structured in quantitative research method were applied to 128 people working in public institutions and private sector in Giresun province with easy sampling. The hypothesis based on the model and purpose of the study was tested by using SPSS 23.0 statistical program with reliability, t-test, choleration analysis. Findings: Nepotism has been shown to increase the intentions of dismissal while public and private sector employees could not influence the level of organizational silence. Originality: It is thought that determining the direction and level of nepotism's relationship with organizational silence and the intention to leave work will contribute to fieldwriting. The findings will enable the analysis of negative impacts of nepotrianism behaviour in the public and private sectors and the taking of regulatory measures.
