%0 Journal Article %T MANCHESTER, HOKKAIDO AND BOGAZICI UNIVERSITY MUSEUMS INTERMS OF THEIR COLLECTION VALUE %J - %D 2018 %X In this study, University of Manchester Museum and Hokkaido University Museum are compared. One of these museums is in England and the other one is the Hokkaido University museums in Sopora which is the northernmost part of Japan. The purpose of the selection of these two museums is to show the unity of meaning and purpose. Both museums exhibit their re- search awards, the benefits of the society, and their museums in their museums. This is managed in both museums according to the understanding of contemporary museums and by taking into consideration the interests of the society. In addition, with their student-oriented exhibition culture, they tell their history through technological history and inventions. Finally, these two museums are described in comparison with the museums of Kandilli Cultural Heritage Collection which is also a university museum in Bogazici University. The three museums mentioned in the article show that they are the museums that protect, carry and store the values of the past for future generations while preserving their cultural history. The research and educatio- nal priorities of these three museums show their significance among university museums.
