%0 Journal Article %T The Effect of Strength Exercises Done With Eccentric and Concentric Muscle Exercises on Jump Performance of Volleyball Players Aged Between 15-18 %J - %D 2018 %X The aim of this study was to examine the effect of exercises that includes eccentric and concentric muscle contractions on jump performance of volleyball players. This study consists of 25 participants as Working Group (n=13, age=16,75¡À2,10) and Control Group (n=12; age=16,90¡À1,85). The training program of the Working Group; applied as 2 days a week for 10 weeks, Control Group continued their normal volleyball training. Height, weight, standing long jump, vertical jump and T-Test tests were done to athletes in pre and posttests. Data acquired with pre and posttests were analyzed with 21.0 SPSS program. While a statistically significant difference was found in the vertical jump(p=0,001) parameters in the comparison of Working Group pre and post-tests, no statistically significant difference was found in standing long jump and T-Test parameters (p>0,05). In Control Group, no statistically significant difference was found in any of the parameters in pre-posttests (p>0,05). While there weren't any differences between the pretests of the groups (p>0,05), in posttests, a statistically significant difference was detected in favor of athletes in the Working Group in vertical jump test (p=0,013). As a result, training program made of eccentric and concentric contractions is seen to have an effect on vertical jump, which is an indicator of explosive power and it is thought that more long-term training programs should be designed for the improvement of leg strength and agility development %K Eksantrik %K konsantrik %K kas %K kuvvet %K s£¿£¿rama %U http://dergipark.org.tr/seder/issue/39031/436153
