%0 Journal Article %T The Effect of Systematical Problem Solving Activities on 6th Grade Students¡¯ Academic Success and Problem Solving Abilities on Force and Action Subject %A Fatma £¿ahin %A £¿pek Yeldan %J - %D 2019 %X The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of systematic creative problem solving activities on academic achievement, problem solving skills and systematic creative problem solving skills in the Force and Movement unit of middle school sixth grade students. Experimental and control groups, which were organized according to experimental design, were asked to answer the main and sub-problem questions of the research through pre-tests and post-tests. The study group of the study consists of a total of 60 students (30) in the 6th grade experimental group (30) studying in a secondary school in the province of Basaksehir, Istanbul in the academic year 2014-2015. Data collection tools applied to experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test in the study are academic achievement test and creative problem solving test. Quantitative analysis of the data was done using SPSS 20 statistical program. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group in the academic achievement test. According to creative problem solving test evaluations, the rate of producing creative ideas in the experimental group was found to be higher than the control group students.
