%X It is possible to protect the existence of a nation and to protect their language. A society without a language cannot reach the consciousness of being a nation. For this reason preserving national language is to protect nationality and culture. Television has important functions such as news, language teaching and language development. Fullfilling these functions contributes to the preservation of community culture and existence. The protection of language is both a social and legal responsibility. Television is also responsible with all individuals who ingender the society. According to social responsibility theory, reporting is a business that should be kept away from commercial concern. To use Turkish correctly, beautiful and understandable is a public service and legal obligation in television news bulletins that the society follows with interest. The legislation also includes the principles regarding the use of Turkish in radio and television broadcasts
