%0 Journal Article %T DETERMINING THE READINESS LEVELS OF THE SENIOR TEACHER CANDIDATES TOWARDS TEAHING PROFESSION %A Ahmet DOLMACI %A Osman AKHAN %A Sedat ALTINTA£¿ %J - %D 2019 %X The fact that pre-service teacher candidates feel themselves prepared for teaching profession is highly crucial for them to improve their professional capacity during their undergraduate education. Thus, the aim of the research is to determine the readiness levels of the senior teacher candidates towards teaching profession and to analyse them in terms of different variables. The Readiness Scale for Teaching Profession, developed by Y£¿ld£¿r£¿m and K£¿kl¨¹kaya (2017), was used in the study by taking the necessary permissions and the survey model was adopted in the research. The study group of the research consisted of the senior teacher candidates studying at Akdeniz University in the 2017-2018 educational years. The acquired data was analysed thanks to the SPSS package program. The results of the study revealed that the readiness levels of the teacher candidates who participated in the study towards teaching profession were high. In addition, according to the results of the study, it was found out that their readiness levels towards teaching profession showed significant differences in terms of their teaching department but they didn¡¯t show significant differences in terms of their gender, their parents¡¯ educational background and their living area before university %K Haz£¿rbulunu£¿luk %K £¿£¿retmenlik mesle£¿i %U http://dergipark.org.tr/asead/issue/42912/511071
