%0 Journal Article %T An Investigation of Information Technologies and Software Course Curriculum in Terms of Technology Literacy Dimensions %A Murat DEBBA£¿ %A Mustafa F£¿DAN %J - %D 2019 %X The purpose of this study is to evaluate the goals of information technologies and software course within the framework ¡°technology literacy¡± dimensions. In this context, firstly according to experts¡¯ opinions, the dimensions of technology literacy have been revealed at national and international level and the goals have been examined in terms of these dimensions. Document review method, within the scope of qualitative research methodology, was used in this study. As a result of the research, according to expert opinions; five dimensions were determined as ¡°the origin of technology¡±, "the effect of technology on human life", "applicability", "production and design", "evaluation and sustainability". It has been concluded that among these dimensions, the reflections of "applicability" and "evaluation and sustainability" is more inadequate on the goals of information technologies and software curriculum, conversely others are partly sufficient.
