In the research, the case study was used from the qualitative research methods because it was aimed to determine what students are doing in problem solving situations, metacognition skills and problem solving processes in depth which enables the research question was examined within its natural environment and from the perspectives of participants. In this context, clinical interviews were conducted with the students. The study group consisted of 15 primary school 4th grade students studying at a public school in Kastamonu. "Cognitive and Metacognitive Behavior Classification Form in Mathematical Problem Solving Processes" was developed by researchers used as data collection tool in the research. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the students who are more successful in the problem solving process have more metacognitive behaviors than the other students %K ¨¹stbili£¿ %K problem £¿£¿zme %K ilkokul £¿£¿rencileri. %U http://dergipark.org.tr/adyusbd/issue/36673/327680
