Six percent of 183 soil samples were positive for presence of entomopathogenic nematode. According to molecular analyses, the isolates were identified as S. carpocapsae, S. feltiae, S. weiseri. The rest of isolates which can not be described with molecular identification methods were characterized as three Steinernema and two Heterorhabditis. Soils of the positive sites were classified as loam, sandy-loam and clay-loam and pH ranged from 4.68 to 7.41. The Steinernematids were isolated from agricultural fields include hazelnut, valnut, poplar, corn, tomato, bean, and Heterorhadits were from forest. Entomopathogenic nematodes could be isolated only Duzce and Bolu province.
