Esra ATUKALP %J - %D 2018 %X The availability of financing to businesses and individuals, the prevalence of branches throughout the country as well as the preference status at the collection point as a result of the habits of savings holders, have made deposit banks more active among other financial institutions. Investigation of the performance of deposit banks is a matter of importance by bank management, bank stakeholders and analysts. The aim of this study is to examine the financial performance of private capital deposit banks operating in Turkish banking system. Multi-MOORA, one of the multi-criteria decision making technique, was used as the method of examination and the study was conducted based on 2015, 2016 and 2017. In the performance evaluation, profitability, liquidity, asset quality, capital adequacy, income-expenditure structure ratios were used. According to the results of the analysis, Akbank is the private deposit bank with the best financial performance in all of the years in line with the selected criteria.
