%T Leading Violin Schools Around the World and Schools Applied in Turkey

%X Art has a very different and unique place specific to itself in the cognitive, affective and psycho-motor development of the world, and therefore human beings, whose evolution was completed in millions of years. One of the most important branches of art, which has a very significant place in human life, is undoubtedly the art of music. In this study, the history of the violin, which has taken its place in music, is examined and important violin schools which have come to prominence in Europe and in the world are investigated. Expert opinions were used to determine the situation in Turkey, interviews were held with faculty members of Dokuz Eyl¨¹l University and Anadolu University State Conservatoires, and with instructors in the Music Education Department of Fine Arts Education in Gazi University, Ni£¿de University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The experts were asked four open-ended questions and the situation in Turkey was explained while conclusions and suggestions related to the topic were presented in the light of the findings
