%0 Journal Article %T Arabic Literature in Arabic Curriculum for Non¨Cnative Speakers: a Comparative Study %A Hany Ramadan %J - %D 2019 %X The aim of this study is to put forward the benefits of the inclusion of Arabic literature in the curricula of teaching Arabic language to non-native speakers using a set of analytical questions. What is the reality of Arabic literature in the curricula of Arabic teaching for non-Native speakers, both in quantity and quality? Are the selected literary texts compatible with the level of learners? What are the distinctive features or shortcomings in these approaches? If there are any, how can those shortcomings be compensated? What are the common points and differences among the methods of Arabic education? The study concluded the need to employ literature in the Arabic curriculum for non-native speakers at all levels.
