Although treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy are used for the treatment of breast cancer, metastasis and recurrence are frequent cases. The most striking factor in the inability to effectively breast cancer treatment is cancer stem cells, which form a small population of tumor tissue. Studies on the elimination of breast cancer stem cells involve approaches that may be effective on developmental signaling pathways that play a critical role in the forming of stem cell characteristics. One of the most important developmental signaling pathways, the Notch signaling pathway is highly effective on apoptosis, proliferation, angiogenesis and differentiation mechanisms in breast cancer stem cells. Recent studies indicate that inhibition of the Notch signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in the characterization of cancer stem cells, is important for effective treatment approaches. In this review, different approaches will be discussed for inhibition of Notch signalling pathway in breast cancer treatment and methods that may be useful for efficient cancer treatment %K Meme kanseri %K Notch %K Kanser K£¿k H¨¹cre %U http://dergipark.org.tr/marufbd/issue/36224/336015
