%X This is my first editorial foreward since I have become the editor of the Journal of Caucasian Studies (JOCAS) in November 2017. JOCAS was first published in 2015 with dedicated editors: Dr. Murat Top£¿u, Dr. Zeynel Abidin Besleney, Assoc.Prof.Dr. ¨¹mit Ekin and Dr. Tufan Turan. By the end of 2017 5 issues were published which included 26 original research articles of which 9 were in Turkish, 10 in English and 7 in Russian. Of these 14 were from the field of history and 12 were studies based on interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary approaches from the fields of sociology, political science, ethnography-cultural studies and linguistics. (An extended English abstract will be added later for this editor's foreword.
