This two-way relationship is even more evident in agricultural activities and handicrafts. In this study, which analyses cannabis cultivator and rope maker in the context of cultural geography, is aimed to reveal the effects of the geographical environmental components of Vezirk£¿pr¨¹ on the development of cannabis cultivator and rope maker culture in the region. Visual resources such as archival materials, statistics, newspaper clippings and photographs were used as material in the research. It also benefited from information obtained from interviews with farmers cannabis cultivator and rope maker who performed craftsmanship in various dates of the locality. Results show that in the Vezirk£¿pr¨¹ region, cannabis cultivator and rope maker are based on hundreds of years of historical past. The region, which is an important cannabis plantation area in the Ottoman Empire has been one of the centers which has produced ropes for navy for many years. However, various reasons in the region decreased over time as well as many other cannabis cultivator and rope maker in Turkey, rope makers are no longer the masters of the craft. They don¡¯t resume profession anymore.
