%0 Journal Article %T Local Resident¡¯s Tourism Support: A Study on Slow Cities in Turkey %A D£¿n¨¹£¿ £¿i£¿ek %A Ya£¿ar Sar£¿ %J - %D 2018 %X This article aims to investigate the relationship between the residents¡¯ perceptions and attitudes toward tourism development and tourism support. The paper is important due to bringing suggestions devoted to residents¡¯ further support in order to eliminate flaws of slow city implementations. The scope of the research includes such slow cities as: Vize, Tarakl£¿, Yenipazar, G£¿k£¿eada, Seferihisar and Akyaka. Questionnaire method was used for data collection. Questionnaire form was conducted to 1143 respondents who were chosen with convenience sampling method between March-July 2017. 1116 forms have been analyzed. According to the survey responses, there are positive relationships between residents¡¯ perceptions of slow city and tourism support and quality of life and tourism support.
