%0 Journal Article %T A Combined Goal Programming and AHP Approach for Solid Waste Landfill Site Selection %A Ayyuce Aydemir-Karadag %J - %D 2019 %X All over the world, the amount of waste produced has increased with population, urbanization and developing technology. Landfill has been used as the most common method for the disposal of solid waste. The most important prerequisite for the proper design and operation of a landfill is the selection of an appropriate site. A sanitary, efficient, long-lasting, sustainable landfill selection in accordance with legal regulations is a multi-criteria decision-making problem. In this study; alternatives for solid waste landfills in and around the province of Ankara are evaluated by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in terms of environmental, economic, social and geological criteria.
