%0 Journal Article %T The Role of Effective Commun£¿cat£¿on in Vision Development: A Case Study %A Abdullah KARAKAYA %A Fatma SA£¿LAM A£¿CA %A £¿znur YAVAN TEM£¿ZKAN %J - %D 2019 %X This study aims to measure the role of effective communication in the participation of postgraduate students in the university vision development process in Karab¨¹k University. The study consists of two parts. In the first part, a literature review including the screening of the related sources was carried out. In the second part, a practical study was conducted for Karab¨¹k University. In the application part of the study, the data obtained by face-to-face survey method was analyzed by Crombach's Alpha, One Sample t Test and Regression Test statistics. The results show that graduate students contribute to the development of the vision of the institute, that they found themselves effective in the vision development of the institute, that the institutes and university management did not find the vision sufficient, the institute communication system was insufficient and the communication technologies were not used at the desired level. In the process of vision development of the institutes, it may be useful to use strategies more effectively and follow strategies that are appropriate for student oriented, participatory and up-to-date management approaches.
