%0 Journal Article %T EXAMINATION OF SELF-LEADERSHIP LEVELS OF SPORTS SCIENCES STUDENTS %J - %D 2019 %X Self-leadership can be defined as the self-affecting process to do a task. Self-leadership is one of the modern leadership approaches that emerged in the 1980s. In this research, it is aimed to examine the self-leadership levels of students in sport sciences. The sample of the study consists of a total of 132 sport sciences students, whom 52 are women (39%) and 80 are men (61%). Personal Information Form and ¡°Abbreviated Self-Leadership Questionnaire (ASLQ)¡± which is the short version translated to the Turkish language by £¿ahin (2015) was used as the data collection tool of the study. ASLQ has 5-point Likert type and consists of 9 items. SPSS 15.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data. Cronbach Alpha is calculated as .82 as result of reliability analysis. According to the analysis; there was no statistically significant difference the scores obtained from ASLQ among age, class, gender and department, there was a significant difference between place of growth (p <.05). The average score of the students is 34.88 (min=10, max=45).
