These sprouts can arise naturally or as a result of various human effects in trees. Root sprouting is stimulated by reasons such as root cutting, soil compaction, heavy pruning, cutting and burning. Many native or exotic broadleaf tree species in Turkey can form root sprouts. These undesirable sprouts in the cities have various negative effects on the parent tree and the environment, and increase the care costs of urban trees. In urban trees, measures should be taken first in relation to root sprouting; for this, damaging to the aboveground parts and root systems of trees should be avoided and heavy pruning should not be practiced. When root sprouts arose, a struggle should be made in a timely and effective manner without damaging to the parent tree. Root sprout formation should be monitored during the growing season and the formed root sprouts should be removed immediately by cutting. If it is thought to use a species that can form root sprouts in urban afforestation, root sprout problem to be encountered and the necessary labor and costs to eliminate this problem should be considered %K £¿ehir a£¿ac£¿ %K k£¿k s¨¹rg¨¹n¨¹ %K geni£¿ yaprakl£¿ a£¿a£¿ %K a£¿a£¿ bak£¿m£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/turkjforsci/issue/36853/404821
