%0 Journal Article %T Mathematics Course Plan Application Example with Inquiry Based Teaching Approach %A Belgin Bal £¿ncebacak %J - %D 2019 %X The aim of the study is to prepare a lesson plan example in accordance with the inquiry-based teaching method of the achievement of "He/she displays the fractions, whose numerator and denominator is a two-digit number at most, on numerical axis¡± which is included in the field of learning of fractions in the 4th grade. Five activity sheets have been developed for the acquisition. Respectively, the study papers of ¡®¡¯finding the modeled fraction¡¯¡¯, ¡®¡¯finding fractions on the numerical axis¡¯¡¯, ¡®¡¯creating a tool for calculating fractions¡¯¡¯, ¡°Cuisenaire rods¡¯¡¯, and ¡®¡¯Test for evaluating the fractions¡¯¡¯. The study papers of the students demonstrate the outcomes such as writing the modeled fractions, showing fractions on numerical axis, creating a set of fractions, associating fractions with one another, understanding that calculations change according to the units of fraction, and showing the fractions whose numerator and denominator is a two-digit number at most.
