%0 Journal Article %T The Contribution of the Vocational Courses Given in Non-Formal Education Institutions to Women's Employment: The Case of The Mu£¿la Municipality %A Murat Sa£¿lam %J - %D 2019 %X This study examines the labor force participation of women in the labor market of Turkey and discussed the importance of vocational courses organized as part of formal education in order to increase the participation of women in the workforce. The participation of women in the labor force in Turkey, but is considered to be important for economic development, labor force participation rates are low. As the literature review shows, there is no study conducted for the city of Mu£¿la on the effect of vocational training courses on women's employment within the scope of non-formal education. In this sense, the study is important for women's empowerment and regional development by increasing women's labor force participation in the city of Mu£¿la.
