%X Resumen (es_ES) En este art赤culo se describen las pr芍cticas de lectura y escritura que se desarrollan en una carrera t谷cnica universitaria desde la voz de los docentes. El sustento te車rico lo constituyen el concepto de alfabetizaci車n acad谷mica y las premisas del movimiento pedag車gico anglosaj車n Writing across the Curriculum. Metodol車gicamente, este estudio se enmarca en el enfoque cualitativo y se define como una investigaci車n exploratoria y descriptiva, como instrumento de recolecci車n de datos nos valimos de la entrevista en profundidad realizada a siete docentes especialistas. Como resultados se obtuvo que, a pesar de la insistencia de los profesores en cuanto a la naturaleza t谷cnica de la carrera, la lectura y escritura son pr芍cticas protagonistas e indispensables en la enseˋanza; sin embargo, se desconoce el potencial epist谷mico y social de estos procesos, lo que trae como consecuencia que no se acompaˋe e integre al estudiante a la participaci車n activa de la comunidad disciplinar. Resumen (en_US) In this paper, we aim to describe the reading and writing practices that a university technical career developed them. As theoretical bases, we are based on the concept of Academic Literacy and on the premises of the Anglo-Saxon pedagogical movement Writing across the Curriculum. Methodologically, this study is framed within the qualitative approach and is defined as an exploratory and descriptive research, as an instrument of data collection we use the in-depth interview conducted to seven specialist teachers. As a result, we obtained that, despite the teachers' insistence on the technical nature of the career, reading and writing are protagonists and indispensable practices in teaching and learning; however, the epistemic and social potential of these processes is unknown, which results in the student not being accompanied and integrated into the active participation of the disciplinary community
