Design of the Wideband Folded Transmitarray Antenna %A 陈官韬 %A 倪涛 %A 吕苗 %A 景跃骐 %J Journal of Antennas %P 27-35 %@ 2325-2243 %D 2022 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/JA.2022.113004 %X 本文介绍了一款基于多层频率选择表面的宽频带折叠传输阵天线。该天线包含上层加载线极化栅的平面传输阵面、下层宽带极化扭转反射表面以及平面微带贴片阵列馈源。首先,提出并设计了一款加载线极化栅的三层双环传输阵单元,它可以反射一种线极化波,同时透射另一种与之正交的线极化波。其次,设计了一款宽带反射型极化扭转单元,它可以把一种线极化波扭转为与之正交的另一种线极化波。由于线极化栅和反射型极化扭转单元的存在,上层传输阵面与下层极化扭转反射阵面之间的距离缩减为等效馈源与平面传输阵之间距离的三分之一。最后,加工制作该折叠传输阵。实测结果显示,该天线获得了7%的1-dB增益带宽,天线在中心频点21 GHz处获得了最大增益23.8 dBi,辐射效率为39%。
In this paper, a novel folded transmitarray antenna based on the polarization grid (PG) is presented. The transmitarray antenna consists of a planar transmission array, a wideband polarization rotation reflection surface (PRRS) and a wideband stacked microstrip patch array as the primary source. First, a simple three-layer double-ring transmitarray element with the PG is designed, which can reflect one linearly polarized (LP) wave while transmit its orthogonal LP wave. Then, a wideband PRRS element is designed, by which one LP wave can be converted into its orthogonal LP wave. Due to the introduction of PG and PRRS, the distance between the transmitarray plane and the feed phase center can be reduced to about 1/3 of the original focal length. A folded transmitarray antenna is designed, fabricated and measured. The measured results indicate that the proposed antenna achieves 7% 1-dB gain bandwidth with 23.8 dBi gain at 21 GHz.
