The movie Blade Runner 2049 demonstrates the main storyline of replicants’ struggle against fate for survival, and at the same time, highlights the fact that human body and technology are integrated and then broken apart from each other. The characters in the movie obtain self-identification from self-awareness and affective integration, and also gradually realize their identity in “self-cogitation”. This paper will explore and analyze the physical body perception and affective identification in the movie Blade Runner 2049 from the perspective of post-humanism, through the aspects of physical body cognition, affective projection, and identity.
