Female writers’ non-fiction writing is a bridge between individual memory and collective memory, women’s “marginal” experience and public expression. Anne Elnor’s A Woman and Hong Ying’s Good Children of the Flower write about the similar social dilemmas faced by women in different generations and cultures, as well as their resistance and effort to take control of their destinies in dual distinctions of gender and class. But distinctions persist, and resistance remains an unfinished business. Faced with unequal social structures, we can establish an anti-essential concept of identity, replacing “subject” with “subject position” and gender essentialism with “gender performance”; and using a set of “reverse discourses” that make distinctions brake down and the veiled discourse powers reveal. %K 安妮• %K 埃尔诺,虹影,女性书写,区隔,抵抗
