Yan Lianke broke away from the grand narrative and started with the Heart Classic. After writing the discourse on women and religion, Yan Lianke’s Central Plains was again written in the countryside, describing the complex, cold and stiff emotional entanglements of a rural family. In his works, the motif of the relationship between father and son, husband and wife, and mother and son is condensed into a contemporary ordinary rural family, and changes, carrying the relationship and emotion of that era and society. But the implied historical factors and historical narration cannot be ignored. It is the story of the present, the story of the Central Plains, and the story of the world. Yan Lianke’s construction of the current rural situation by getting rid of the grand historical narrative in Central Plains is a reflection and leap over his own writing predicament or limitation, a new attempt and a new current rural narrative mode. %K 阎连科,中原,乡土书写,历史叙述
