The interview data were analyzed by Colaizzi’s seven-step data analysis method to refine the themes. Results: Three themes were condensed: 1) the rural elderly did not have enough awareness of the importance of home renovation for the elderly; 2) The enthusiasm of the elderly in rural areas to carry out home renovation for the elderly is restricted in many ways; 3) The accurate assessment in the early stage is conducive to the promotion of the home adaptation and transformation of the elderly in rural areas. Conclusion: The rural elderly have insufficient awareness of home adaptation for the elderly, and it is necessary to improve the popularization rate of their awareness of adaptation to the elderly, and most of the rural elderly have low demand for home adaptation and transformation, and the biggest obstacle is economic and psychological factors. %K 农村老人,适老化改造,居家,质性研究
