In order to effectively reuse the waste masks at high value, this study uses the waste mask fibers as the modifier of modified asphalt, using infrared spectroscopy to analyze the modification mechanism of the waste mask fiber modified asphalt; atomic force microscopy to analyze the microscopic morphology of the waste mask fibers modified asphalt and the aging mechanism. Research has found that waste mask fibers have good compatibility with matrix asphalt, and the two belong to a physical mixture; Compared with the original matrix asphalt, the number and area of “honeycomb structure” of waste mask fiber modified asphalt are significantly reduced, and the roughness is significantly reduced.
