This study explores the cultural and aesthetic value of doors and windows in ancient Chinese architecture. By analyzing their design and functionality in traditional structures, it emphasizes that they serve not only as practical architectural elements but also represent unique aesthetic concepts and cultural symbols. Building upon this, the study highlights the semi-concealed aes-thetic philosophy of doors and windows, and explores its embodiment in harmony, coexistence with nature, and traditional values. It discusses key elements in door and window design, such as the effects of light and shadow and the integration of interior and exterior landscapes, and analyzes the role of various building materials in delineating the boundaries between inside and outside. The research aims to reveal the profound connotations of doors and windows as an integral part of ancient Chinese architecture and provides new perspectives on understanding Chinese traditional culture and aesthetics.
