The extraction technology of total alkaloids from Pinellas ternata was studied. By adding appropriate amount of ammonia, ethyl acetate and ultrasonic extraction, the total alkaloid content extracted was determined with ephedrine hydrochloride as the standard. Through single factor test, the optimal extraction conditions were as follows: particle size of 80 mesh, ammonia concentration of 25%, extraction solvent of 18 times and extraction time of 3 h.
