Firstly, briefly explain the occurrence of oil trapping phenomenon in external meshing gear pumps. Secondly, focus on analyzing the improvement of oil trapping models and innovative design of unloading grooves in the study of oil trapping in gear pumps. From the initial single factor oil trapping model to the multi factor dynamic coupling oil trapping model, list and analyze the derivation process of the mathematical model; starting from a simple circular shape and rectangular design selection to the innovative trapezoidal unloading groove design optimization, the fluid simulation results are listed and analyzed.
