In 2020, Dongkou County collected 9 cases of bovine echinococcus, 13 cases of bovine liver fasciariasis, 8 cases of bovine anterior and posterior disc fluke disease, 17 cases of sheep liver fasciariasis, 8 cases of sheep lung filariasis, and 27 cases of sheep scabies. 82 cases of 1769 diseased cattle and sheep were treated with traditional Chinese medicine such as beniel, thiodichlorophenol, ivermectin, nitrochlorophenol, and betel nut, with 1629 cured and a cure rate of 92.1%. We have accumulated rich experience in clinical diagnosis, autopsy, and treatment of parasitic diseases in cattle and sheep, and have formulated the “Technical Specification for the Prevention and Control of Parasitic Diseases in Cattle and Sheep in Dongkou County”, which includes diagnostic standards, preventive measures, and treatment plans.
