%X this article presents some results from the research ''prints of the emergence of short narrative in colombia in the nineteen century press,'' which objective is to contribute to the re-composition process of the early days of short narrative in colombia, from the revision of newspapers issued between 1838 and 1857. the search shows the presence and importance of short literary narrations during the studied period; likewise the complexity of narration techniques, the diversity of genres, and the influence of foreign literary works of the studied genre.
