%0 Journal Article %T Dos temores ao encanto: o cotidiano escolar na literatura brasileira %A Rocha %A Helo¨ªsa Helena Pimenta %A Pinto Neto %A Pedro da Cunha %J Educa£¿£¿o em Revista %D 2012 %I Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais %R 10.1590/S0102-46982012000100003 %X among the cultural records included in the (historical) account of schooling (worldwide) and of daily life in school, the brazilian literature from the 19th and 20th centuries, occupies a privileged position. taking the school as a literary theme, some of the works published during this period paint a picture that allow the reader to enter into the daily life of this institution, its relation to family life and the world surrounding it. by referring to school materials, the teacher's work and duties, school organization, printed papers in circulation, the relationships established among the school members, the fears, anxieties, moments of joy and other typical feelings and sensations of the period, these works make presentations that allow us to identify with, and permit a proximity between, the life of the characters and the reader. these presentations about the school and its practices, put in circulation by way of these literary works, acquire multiple feelings and, in some way, contribute to the process whereby we uncover our feelings about our own schooling experience. through the reading of literary records of the schooling experience, this article attempts to portray the school in its day to day reality, investigating the way in which the subjects represent the educational institution. %K history of education %K brazilian literature %K daily school life. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0102-46982012000100003&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
