%0 Journal Article %T Enfermera Nefrol車gica: de la formaci車n b芍sica a la formaci車n especialista %A San Juan Miguelsanz %A Marta Isabel %A Muˋoz Pilar %A Sonia %J Enfermer赤a Nefrol車gica %D 2012 %I Sociedad Espa?ola de Enfermer赤a Nefrol車gica %R 10.4321/S2254-28842012000300003 %X introduction: nephrology nursing carries out its functions in a defined area of care which determines the need for specific skills to ensure the quality of the care provided. in the absence of regulated postgraduate training, most nurses learn through continuous training courses and, fundamentally, on the job. objectives: to find out whether the nephrology units in castilla y le車n provide specific training for new nurses and whether these units have developed a specific programme for training nurses. material and method: a transversal quantitative descriptive study was carried out between the months of october 2011 and march 2012. data compilation was through an open telephone interview. windows xp microsoft office excel was used for recording and statistical analysis. the results are expressed in total values, percentages and arithmetic mean. results: in castilla y le車n nurse training is provided in 61% of the nephrology units, with a specific programme being followed in 64% of them. these units include one hospital and the rest are associated private centres. discussion: in the absence of a regulated specialization and with a view of offering society qualified nursing staff for their area of work, nephrology nurses have sought a way to improve the training of professionals by developing, in some cases, specific programmes in the nephrology units themselves. %K nephrology nursing %K specific training and specialization. %U http://scielo.isciii.es/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2254-28842012000300003&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
