%X this article focuses on a classic novel of latin american historical narrative, el arpa y la sombra by alejo carpentier, to explore the relationships that she established with the modern conceptions of historiography, who conceive of historical fact as story or speech, while his writing as narrative, of where we will highlight how history and fiction to construct a dialogue nurturing for the development of a certain poetic, critical and reflective of the story.
