%0 Journal Article %T Inteligencia emocional, celos, tendencia al abuso y estrategias de resoluci¨®n de conflicto en la pareja %A Perles Novas %A Fabiola %A San Mart¨ªn Garc¨ªa %A Jes¨²s %A Canto Ortiz %A Jes¨²s %A Moreno Jim¨¦nez %A Pilar %J Escritos de Psicolog¨ªa (Internet) %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the aim of this study was to analyse the relationship between emotional intelligence, jealousy and the propensity for abusiveness and violent conflict-solving strategies between couples. the predictive capacity of these variables was analysed in a mixed sample of 294 people. the outcomes show that the variables evaluated are significantly associated with the conflict-solving strategies used by the couple. these strategies have a positive association with jealousy and the propensity for abusiveness, and a negative association with emotional intelligence. similarly, all the variables analysed had a predictive capacity regarding the conflict-solving strategies, especially the couple's perception regarding such strategies. these outcomes show the relevance of these variables in predicting violence between couples and are suggestive of interventions for its prevention. %K violence between couples %K conflict-solving strategies %K emotional intelligence %K jealousy %K propensity for abusiveness. %U http://scielo.isciii.es/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1989-38092011000100005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
